Sod Installation

While it's technically possible to install sod at any time, the best seasons are spring and fall. These seasons provide optimal weather conditions for the sod to root effectively. 

During these periods, the soil is neither too cold nor too hot, making it conducive for the sod to establish a solid root system. 

However, if needed, sod can be installed in summer and winter with extra care and attention to watering (in summer) and frost protection (in winter).

Before we arrive to install your new sod, it would be helpful if you cleared your yard of any debris or personal items. Also, marking any sprinkler heads or utilities would be beneficial. 

This helps prevent any accidental damage during the installation process. If there are existing grass or plants where you plan to lay sod, it might need removal.

The watering schedule for your new sod can depend on various factors including the time of year, climate, and type of grass. 

However, as a general rule, for the first two weeks post-installation, it's usually recommended to water the sod daily, keeping it damp but not overly saturated. This encourages the roots to establish themselves in the soil.
